Motopark Academy

The Motopark Academy Racing Team was founded in the autumn of 1998 and has been competing since 1999. A powerful team consisting of experienced engineers from Formula 3 was put together. Right from the beginning the team was successful due to this experienced personnel, the first class equipment, and the outstanding infrastructure which has direct connections to the Motorsport Arena race track in Oschersleben.

In 1999 and 2000 the team competed in the Formula König Championship. Since 2001 they have concentrated on Formula Renault, and have since turned into one of the biggest and most successful teams in Europe.

In 2004 they dominated the German and European championships, winning both with Scott Speed.

In 2006 they won both championships once again, this time with Filipe Albuquerque.

In 2007 the team retained the FR NEC Championship, with Frank Kechele.

Many other drivers have competed with Motopark Academy in the past few years, and the team is proud to include the likes of Sebastian Vettel, Andreas Zuber, or Sebastien Buemi in this group.

Besides collaborating in the team’s website and media communications, GEAR UP is working with Motopark Academy in other projects and aspects of the team’s racing activities.
